Bak Pasaji
A space for public discourse.
This studio explored urbanism through transforming street space. The work from the studio was displayed in the 2015 Istanbul Biennial.
Building from the pasaj typology common among Istaklal, this art gallery creates a place for the inhabitants of Istanbul to view conceptual ideas. As public areas become censored disappear it is important to hold space to encourage dialogue between differing ideas. This is a narrow site that connects a busy pedestrian avenue to a back alley.
